The Department of Culture, Heritage and Arts implements Fiji’s National Cultural Policy (2022-2033) in alignment with Fiji’s National Development Plan (2025-2029). Our local and international engagement is guided by the Pacific Regional Cultural Strategy (2022-2032).
Our mandate under the Fiji National Cultural Policy (2022-2032) is informed by several key legislative and regulatory instruments. At the fore is the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji which provides the foundational provisions of the rights of all Fijians to their economic, social, and cultural development and liberties
